Public Comment on the Sepulveda Transit Corridor will close on August 30. The last public hearing to ask questions and make comment in person is August 18.
Metro Construction News
Beginning on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the contractor will finalize their construction work and will start with the Metro G Line Pilot Gate Technology Testing. This means that the entrance to Lake Balboa Park at the Metro G Line Bus crossing at Hayvenhurst will be closed during the testing period. Detour signs will direct park users to alternative entrances at Balboa Bl and Woodley Av.
Van Nuys Tiny Homes Break Ground
The project is led by Pallet Shelter and the Bureau of Engineering. The project will have 100 beds available spring 2026.
West Nile Virus in Van Nuys
The Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (GLACVCD) has confirmed the first mosquito sample to test positive for West Nile virus (WNV) in Van Nuys this year. This positive sample was detected in mosquito traps in your community on July 8th.
