G Line Construction Begins at Van Nuys Blvd and Vesper Avenue
Construction is now underway on Metro’s G Line Busway at Van Nuys Boulevard and Vesper Avenue as part of the major upgrades to build the new elevated Van Nuys Station and aerial bridges. This work, led by Metro’s contractor Valley Transit Partners (VTP), will take place through Spring 2026 and includes intermittent lane reductions and nighttime activity.

Traffic Flow Permanently Disrupted on Van Nuys Blvd
Traffic on Van Nuys Blvd between Gault and Arminta will be impacted by construction for two years. The full impact of the project is reducing the street to two traffic lanes in each direction and no street parking.
Metro Breaks Ground on Improvements for G Line
Scheduled to be completed in 2027 in advance of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic games, the project will advance Metro’s commitment to improve mobility and foster economic vitality in the San Fernando Valley.
