Reform LA Listening Sessions
The Ad Hoc Committee on Governance Reform has begun its listening sessions on potential reforms to our city’s redistricting process. This is a historic effort which is being led by the Council President and the more public participation the better, as reforms recommended by the committee will need to go to the full City Council and the voters for adoption, as many reforms would require changes to the City Charter.
Free Income Tax Preparation
If you made under $60,000 in 2022, professionally trained volunteers can prepare and electronically file your federal and state income tax returns for free at the Mid Valley YMCA.

The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council has focused on expanding our outreach in 2022 across community events.
VNNC and VCC Clean Up
We had a wonderful turnout at the Valerio Street cleanup on October 23. VNNC partnered with the Block Captain from the local Neighborhood Watch, Council District 6, the Senior Lead Officer for the area being beautified, and Volunteers Cleaning Communities. Together, we picked up over 30 bags of trash and beautified the neighborhood.
