The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council is pleased to host a conversation with the two candidates in the run-off election to represent CD6 on the LA City Council. Marissa Alcaraz and Imelda Padilla will be joining us at our Board meeting on Wednesday, June 14th to share their ideas about how, if elected, they propose to address important issues of concern to Van Nuys residents and stakeholders.
The LA Budget Advocates held a Town Hall for the City Controller candidates on April 10. If you missed it, you can watch it at your convenience to hear directly from the candidates and decide who to vote for.
Congratulations to those who won -- and a big thank you to everyone who participated. As discussed at Candidate Forums, we hope that everyone who ran in these elections will join in the work of the VNNC -- through participation on a committee, help with events, making public comments at meetings, and other opportunities that will arise.
Return your ballot! Postmark by May 11 or bring to the ballot drop box at the Van Nuys Library by May 11, 8pm.
