Metro’s contractor began utility work along Van Nuys Boulevard between Gault Street and Arminta Street in April 2025. The second k-rail installation and advanced utility work will start in early October 2025. Continuous weekend work is expected on October 10 through October 13, 2025. The project will install k-rail (concrete barriers) along northbound Van Nuys Boulevard from north of Valerio Street to Arminta Street for advanced utility work. The work will reduce lanes on Van Nuys Bl in each direction from Valerio St to Arminta St. Traffic delays are expected. Use alternate routes. Click here for full notice.

Beginning Friday, October 10, 2025, at 8pm through Monday, October 13, 2025, at 6am.
Ongoing Utility Installation Work
Utility installation and restoration work will continue through mid-2027, with activities scheduled Monday through Sunday. Day shifts from 6am to 8pm, and night shifts from 8pm to 6am, both inside and outside the K-rail concrete barriers as necessary. Some Saturday work may be necessary on side streets during the day 8am to 6pm and nights from 8pm to 6am.
