I Support AB 24

Dear Friends,

Please sign our petition supporting basic public safety standards for all charter-carrier drivers (Uber/Lyft) and ensuring requested drivers do not have a violent history, are responsible and safe drivers, and do not have DUIs.

AB 24 requires three basic safety checks:

  • Enrollment in a DMV Employer Pull Notice Program – which is a continuous driver’s record check.
  • Participation in fingerprint-based background check done by the California Department of Justice.
  • Participation in a drug testing program.

In addition, all ridesharing drivers must register their car and display an identifying decal to ensure greater transparency and accountability.
