IN CONFORMITY WITH THE GOVERNOR’S EXECUTIVE ORDER N-29-20 (MARCH 17, 2020) AND DUE TO CONCERNS OVER COVID-19, THE BOARD OF Van Nuys NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED ENTIRELY TELEPHONICALLY.

PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – The public is requested to fill out a “Speaker Card” to address the Board on any agenda item before the Board takes an action on an item. Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 2 minutes per speaker, per item, with a maximum total of 10 minutes per speaker, unless adjusted by the Council President and/or facilitator.

- Discussion and Possible Action: Target-14920 Raymer Street. Case# ZA-2020- 3769-CUB. Conditional use permit to allow the sale of a full line of alcoholic beverages for offsite consumption in conjunction with existing TARGET store, with hours of operation from 8 am to 21pm daily in a M-2-1 zone. - Discussion and Possible Action: Bevmo – 5820 Sepulveda Blvd. Case# ZA 2020- 156-CUB. Revision to existing CUB for “sampling” of hard liquor, food, tobacco. - Discussion and Possible Action: El Amateco Restaurant, 14540 Vanowen Street. Case# (not available at this time). Conditional Use Permit to allow the sale and dispensing of on-site beer and wine with an existing restaurant with 110 interior seats & hours of 8:00 am – 2:00 am daily. Representative: Patrick E. - Discussion and Possible Action: Motion for the Office of Anti-corruption and transparency (LA ACT) – CIS to support City Council motion by Councilmember David Ryu for Inspector General for Development, in regards to corruption in planning and land use. Supporting Documents: Motion
- Discussion and Possible Action: Motion to propose a Historic Landmark status for mural in front of Bank of America building @ 6551 Van Nuys Blvd. Mural by Los Angeles-area famous artist Millard Sheets (early 1960’s) represents suburban boom of Valley—and the area’s role in “Man’s race to the moon” 50 years ago. One of a very short list of referent murals in Valley (Burbank City Hall, San Fernando and Canoga Park post offices). VNNC PLUM Chairperson John Hendry to present.
