The 15th annual parade begins, 11:11 a.m. Nov. 11. Grand marshal: Veterans of the West Valley Area California Highway Patrol. A Los Angeles County Fire Hawk helicopter and the Condor Squadron will do a flyover. The parade is dedicated to the late Alfred Anthony Flores Jr. who urged his father to found a Veterans Day parade in the San Fernando Valley. Route: Laurel Canyon and San Fernando Mission boulevards (in Mission Hills), south on Laurel Canyon to Ritchie Valens Recreation Center, 10736 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Pacoima.
