The men and women of your Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcome you to visit an LAFD Fire Station on Saturday, May 11, 2024, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
The second Saturday of each May is designated as “Fire Service Day” in the City of Los Angeles – a citywide open firehouse celebration, when we plan and prepare for your visit to a Neighborhood Fire Station.
This year, our theme is “Celebrating Community Resilience”, with a focus on strengthening the connections that benefit our entire community in times of crisis.
We’re eager to have you spend part of you day with us on Saturday, May 11, to learn about our team, tools and training – but more importantly, for us to learn of your needs and concerns regarding emergency response and disaster preparedness.
While all LAFD Neighborhood Fire Stations ** will be welcoming your visit between 10 AM and 4 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2024, the following Focal Sites will also offer special LAFD displays and demonstrations, as well as introduce this year’s four Honorary Fire Chiefs:
- Central Bureau Focal Site: Fire Station 12 (Highland Park) MAP
- South Bureau Focal Site: Fire Station 112 (San Pedro Waterfront) MAP
- Valley Bureau Focal Site: Fire Station 88 (Sherman Oaks) MAP
- West Bureau Focal Site: Fire Station 69 (Pacific Palisades) MAP
**NOTE: Because Fire Stations 51, 80 and 114 are located on secure airport grounds, they regretfully cannot be open to the public.
Some LAFD Stations will be offering special food, entertainment and more. View their Fire Service Day event flyers:
