Introductions of first time attending stakeholders. *Speaker Cards: 2, minutes, 2 Public Comment Times. - Mayor’s Office of Public Engagement Report on the progress of Mayor Garcetti’s “Back to Basics” agenda and collaborative opportunities moving forward. (Brian Gavidia, 10 minutes).
- Old Business
- A. Discussion from the Chair regarding the petition to recall Board Member Jeanette Hopp and the City Attorney’s Opinion with regard to the same.
- New Business:
- A. VNNC to vote to appoint Jason Ackerman and Marcela Rodriguez as official designees to attend Civic University 1.0 in January of 2017.
- B. VNNC to vote to appoint Howard Benjamin the official liaison to Film LA.
- C. VNNC to vote to appoint Marcela Rodriguez the official VNNC liaison to the Mayor’s Office with regard to all issues pertaining to homeless individuals in the VNNC jurisdictional area.
- D.VNNC to discuss and vote on DWP Ratepayer’s Bill of Rights and whether to file a Community Impact Statement (CIS) with regard to the same.
- E. VNNC to discuss and vote on whether to authorize and fund the Legislative Information Committee (LIC) to apply for State Bar Certification to offer Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) program credit required of California attorneys. Initial classes to be offered at no cost, changed or discontinued at the discretion on the VNNC. (NTE $75). Supporting Docs.: Motion
