Mayor Eric Garcetti and DWP GM Marcie Edwards joined DWP Commissioner Jill Banks Barad at the Valley Alliance of Neighborhood Councils where representatives of the 34 Valley councils talked about the Mayor’s priorities and the DWP’s future.
Mayor Garcetti reminded the standing-room-only audience of his Valley roots, from summer camp in Chatsworth to school in Studio City to a first date in Sherman Oaks and of enjoying Carvel’s ice cream in Woodland Hills, and then shifted the conversation from the past to the future, reiterating his back-to-basics agenda and his commitment to customer service.
The LA Times and The Daily News have both given extensive coverage to the Mayor’s commitment to restoring the DWP “to greatness” and GM Edwards echoed his comments and was joined by DWP’s Director of Customer Service, Randy Howard. (video)
