American Red Cross is looking for volunteers for the Home Fire Campaign.
Smoke alarms cut the risk of death from a home fire in half. Red Cross has joined with fire departments and community groups in places that have high numbers of fires.
We need your help. We are coming to your community to provide free home fire safety inspections; test and service existing smoke alarms, replacing batteries and alarms where needed; and offer fire and earthquake safety information.
We need volunteers to help install smoke alarms in your neighborhood. We need installers, safety educators and documenters. Training & meals will be provided.
Installation: Saturday, September 26, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Location: Van Nuys
