City Requests Community Input On Sidewalk Vending

In December of 2014, the Los Angeles City Council Economic Development Committee discussed a Motion (Price-Huizar; C.F. 13-1493) regarding the potential implementation of a sidewalk vending program in the City of Los Angeles in an attempt to move toward a more efficient system of regulation and enforcement for this sector of the economy. With an estimated 10,000 or more vendors operating on the streets of Los Angeles, any changes will affect thousands of families, vendors, and customers alike.

The Economic Development Committee has requested additional community input to assist with the decision-making process associated with sidewalk vending and vending in parks. Please attend one of these meetings to learn more about potential changes to sidewalk vending laws in Los Angeles and to give your input.
