What is Map Your Neighborhood?

Neighbors who work together as a team to prepare for disasters save lives, reduce the severity of injuries and trauma, and reduce property damage. In addition, working together as a team and contributing as an individual develops stronger communities and improves the quality of life in the community.

Join us to learn more about what to do after you’ve prepared your home and family for a disaster. Odds are, in a major event, you and those closest to you will be the first responders. Map Your Neighborhood is a program designed to help neighborhoods prepare for disasters.

Who should attend?

This meeting is intended to train ordinary residents interested in bringing the Map Your Neighborhood Program back to their communities and hosting a session themselves with their neighbors. Those interested in becoming facilitators or just learning more about this fantastic program should attend.   This session is open to ANYONE interested in the program.
