There’s a new Meet Up for stakeholders interested in historic preservation. Tuesday May 12 at 10 am, The Cultural Heritage Commission will determine the fate of an original 1934 property in Valley Village. This property was built in 1934 as one of the first four parcels constructed on the block. If it is not approved as a historic property, it will be demolished to be replaced with a three story condo, 80 year old trees will be destroyed and the last piece of history on the block will be gone. Join their Meet Up for more details and to lend your support.
In March, the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council hosted its first sustainable planning summit to inform the community about City of Los Angeles initiatives and local quality of life advocacy driven by California’s climate laws. This post continues dialog that began at the summit.
