Floodplain Management Plan Informational Open House
The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering is pleased to announce an Informational Open House for the 2015 Floodplain Management Plan (FMP) Update. The purpose of the FMP update is to complete the required steps to receive classification under the National Flood Insurance Program’s Community Rating System (CRS). The target audience for this meeting will be those citizens that live within regulated floodplains.
Residents will have the opportunity to:
- Share their perception of the flood risks in their neighborhood or stories of actual flooding in their home.
- See best available flood data and science for their neighborhood on poster maps and PowerPoint.
- Learn details about potential flood damages to their home using FEMA’s HAZUS-MH.
