The City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department (EMD) is requesting your support in promoting their 5 Steps to Neighborhood Preparedness program across Los Angeles. This nationally recognized and award-winning program is a powerful way for neighborhoods to come together to develop their own hyper-local disaster response plan, for those crucial moments immediately following a major disaster.
EMD is asking for your assistance to share this program with your neighborhood councils and communities. We hope that, with the support and coordination of your councils, we can utilize your websites, social media, email, and other assets to help spread the word and raise awareness.
To introduce residents to the program the City has scheduled four FREE community workshops. Refreshments and a raffle with door prizes are provided however registration is limited.
