Greetings from Los Angeles Sanitation!
Phase 2 of the plastic bag ban goes into effect on July 1, and we’re trying to find better ways to reach out to residents within the City of Los Angeles. I’m wondering if you will consider sharing information with your community so that they can be better prepared?
Attached please find a fact sheet, a list of locations where people can pick up free bags, a simple multi-lingual flyer, English and Spanish flyers, and an ad banner to be used online (this could be directed to www.lacitybag.com). A press conference will be held on the South Lawn of City Hall on June 30 at 9:30am, where the winner of the Mayor’s reusable bag design contest will be announced.
