Happy Holidays Van Nuys Council-members, Community Leaders & Stakeholders,
As we finish up another successful year representing the good people of Van Nuys, I would like to officially and formally thank you for your interest in and service to our community. We have an action packed agenda this coming Wednesday night, and will be addressing a plethora of concerns, including the relocation of fire station #39, millions of dollars in uncollected LA City funds, and the planning of the VNNC elections this coming March 20th, 2014.
We are also hosting a “Holiday Mixer & Open House” starting at 5pm in the council chambers. Everyone in the community is invited, and we are planning it as a potluck and get-together. You are welcome to bring anything you like, and feel free to stop by and set up your dish any time after 4:30pm. I am bringing meatballs slowly cooked in a tangy barbeque sauce, and chances are it will be the talk of the town.
Once again, please join us starting at 5pm this coming Wednesday night for our “Holiday Mixer & Open House” as well as our regularly scheduled council meeting at 7pm. Cheers, and thank you for being involved in the local Van Nuys community. See you on Wednesday night.
-George Christopher Thomas, President of the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council
