Due to construction, northbound traffic on Van Nuys Blvd between Oxnard and Victory will be closed. The detour will route you west on Oxnard, north on Kester and east on Victory, back to continue north on Van Nuys.
The timeframe is weekends from Friday at 8pm to Monday at 6am, starting June 27 through August.
The East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit (ESFV LRT) Project will improve connections and access to crucial destinations while connecting transit users to the growing network in the San Fernando Valley. The Southern Segment of the project includes a 6.7-mile at-grade alignment that will operate at the center of Van Nuys Blvd, from the Metro G Line Van Nuys Station on Van Nuys to San Fernando Rd.
SUMMARY
As part of the ongoing advanced early works packages for the ESFV LRT Project, Metro’s contractor, San Fernando Transit Constructors (SFTC), will perform the installation of cast-in-drilled-hole piles for protection of the existing concrete storm drainpipe to support the future Van Nuys/ Metro G Line station. This work will include traffic control implementation, including a street directional closure, lane reductions, asphalt removal, drilling of piles, installation of rebar, backfill, and roadway paving work.
