Adopt a Fire Hydrant

In April, Canoga Park Neighborhood Council collaborated with Councilmember Bob Blumenfield’s Office, Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Home Depot, and Department of Water and Power, to hold the Adopt a Fire Hydrant – Become a Hero event.  Over 230 volunteers spent their Saturday morning painting over 250 fire hydrants, making them easier to spot in the event of an emergency.  This event brought the community together and provided individuals the opportunity to beautify and increase the safety of their neighborhood.
