Our Van Nuys Council is entering a new era and phase of existence. We are having council elections in less than two weeks, and will be seating our new Councilmembers at our April General Meeting.
Please come and participate in our elections, and then meet our communities newest elected officials on Wednesday April 13th.
We are also in a transition to a new leadership team, and I want to make the passing of the torch seamless and smooth. It has been a great honor to serve as the Council President for the past four years, and it is a bittersweet feeling to be termed out.
Running the largest local government in the San Fernando Valley has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be called “Mr. President” for the past four years.
Thank you for electing me to public office, and I look forward to continuing the fight as the Council President Emeritus and a retired termed out Statesman.
I hope to see you on Monday for our Executive Committee meeting at the Van Nuys Public Library, and of course at our General Meeting on April 13th, 2016. Cheers and have a wonderful weekend.
