As part of the Great Streets Initiative for Van Nuys Boulevard in Van Nuys, on February 20 from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Connect the Dots | Van Nuys invites the community, bicyclists and designers to reimagine Van Nuys Blvd. as a climate-resilient Great Street.
The Arid Lands Institute, Pacoima Beautiful and Los Angeles County Bicycle (LACBC) are hosting the Connect the Dots event.
There will be a Tour de Van Nuys Ride with LACBC to explore Van Nuys on two wheels. On this 5-mile ride, they’ll be stopping at a few historic sites to learn more about Van Nuys rich history and culture.
When: Saturday, February 20. Meet at 1 p.m. Ride at 1:30 p.m.
Where: Meet at Van Nuys Orange Line Station – 6060 Van Nuys Blvd, Van Nuys

Bring water, a helmet (children under 18 are required to wear a helmet), a working bike, and a smile!
After the ride, riders are encouraged to participate in Connect The Dots LA, a community event to reimagine Van Nuys Blvd as a green street of the Valley. There will be 3 design workshops about how we could make the street more bicycle-friendly by painting the dots, make pop-up bike lanes, walk, ride and play on the Great Street of Van Nuys Blvd.!
The first workshop is at 1:00 p.m., the second at 3:00 p.m. and the third at 5:00 p.m.
