This coming Thursday, October 22 @ 6:00 – 7:30 pm located in Deaton Auditorium, LAPD Headquarters, 100 West 1st Street, Los Angeles, 90012, there will be a hearing on the current parks dedication and fee requirements (known as Quimby Funds) has been under a process of revision by the Department of City Planning in conjunction with the Department of Recreation and Parks and with support from Matt Raimi & Associates.
This is important to piece of city legislation for communities to provide more open space, parks and recreation space in regards to future development.
Attached you will find a quick guide explaining the effort, a hearing notice for an October 22nd staff hearing, the draft ordinance, and two supporting studies. The staff report will be available shortly before the City Planning Commission hearing. The target CPC hearing date is December 10th.
