Hiring Our Heroes: Job Fair for Veterans

Join us Tuesday, October 6, 2015 for a job fair and employment workshop for veterans, active duty military members, guard and reserve members, and military spouses at the American Legion Post No. 43.

This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers. There will be an Employment Workshop at 8:30am that will cover resume writing, tips for successfully navigating hiring fairs, military skills translation, and interviewing.

This Alcoa and University of Phoenix- sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the California Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), California Employment Development Department, Economic and Workforce Development, City of Los Angeles, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Goodwill Industries International, The American Legion, NBC News, and other local partners.
