City Council President Wesson Holds Neighborhood Council Town Hall

On May 16 in South Los Angeles, Council President Herb Wesson joined the South Los Angeles Alliance of Neighborhood Councils to host the second Neighborhood Council Town Hall this year.

At the town hall, members of various Neighborhood Councils around Los Angeles discussed their thoughts on enhancing the relationship between Neighborhood Councils and the L.A. City Council and how Neighborhood Councils can increase their civic involvement. Newly-elected Council District 8 Councilmember-elect Marqueece Harris-Dawson was also in attendance to hear stakeholders’ concerns and ideas for enhancing the Neighborhood Council system and its relationship to the City in order to better serve the community.
