Going Greener
On Thursday, April 30, LADOT General Manager Seleta Reynolds is the keynote speaker at Go Green 15, a Sustainability Conference for Business and Government.  Go Green empowers decision makers with sustainability strategies, tools and connections to create positive change within their organizations by facilitating environmental, economic and social performance improvement.  The attendees at this year’s conference will collaborate, strategize and drive action to protect the environment, stimulate growth, integrate and improve services and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

What We Do Series: Parking Management and Regulations
The Parking Management and Regulations group is headed by Executive Officer Detrich (Dee) Allen.  The group is responsible for managing the parking violations bureau, city owned parking infrastructure assets such as meters, garages and outdoor lots; parking permits; and regulatory services (taxi, non-emergency ambulance, and pipeline franchises).  One of their most recent contributions is the new easier to read parking sign pilot program.  Providing the best customer service for the millions of stakeholders who come into contact with these various services offered is the goal of Parking Management and Regulations staff.

Metamorphosis: Evolving the Urban Environment
The College of Environmental Design (ENV) at Cal Poly Pomona incorporates the visual arts, architecture, landscape architecture, regenerative studies, and urban and regional planning majors.  Every year the ENV Council holds a conference for students to inspire future professionals and leaders. This year’s theme is “Metamorphosis: Evolving the Urban Environment”.  On Thursday, April 30th, LADOT’s Transportation Engineering Associate Tim Fremaux will present the transformative project “MyFigueroa” that will change the Figueroa corridor as well the surrounding neighborhood.

May Day Marches and Traffic Officer Safety Video
