Recycle Your Used Tires Properly

The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation provides an environmentally sound opportunity for LA residents to drop off their used and unwanted tires for recycling at several convenient locations FREE of charge. Beginning in May, LASAN will host six Used Tire Recycling Collection Events on selected Saturdays from 9:00am to 2:30pm.

“Used tires stored in the garage or in the backyard are often a nuisance to city residents. Used tires must be recycled and properly disposed of. The city’s used tire collection events offer a great opportunity for city residents to get rid of those used tires at no cost,” said Los Angeles Sanitation Director Enrique C. Zaldivar.

The primary responsibility of LASAN is to collect, clean and recycle solid and liquid waste generated by residential, commercial and industrial users in the City of Los Angeles and surrounding communities. LASAN protects the public health and environment and enhances the quality of life in the City’s neighborhoods.
