La Gran Limpieza: Great LA River CleanUp Gears Up for 26th Annual Event

La Gran Limpieza, the annual Los Angeles River cleanup event sponsored by Friends of the LA River, will take place on April 11, 18, and 25.

This annual “work party” will include live music performances, gift giveaways, family activities and refreshments. The River Rover will visit one site each weekend: Bette Davis Picnic Area on April 11, Fletcher Drive & Bowtie Parcel on April 18, and Compton Creek on April 25.

The CleanUp will take place at 13 different locations, so choose the location or locations most convenient to you and let’s clean up the river together!

Friends of the LA River is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 1986, whose mission is to protect and restore the natural and historic heritage of the Los Angeles River and its riparian habitat through inclusive planning, education and wise stewardship.
