Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance Hosts First Workshop This Saturday
This Saturday, February 21, join the brand new Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance for their inaugural forum. The event will be held at TreePeople’s facility in the beautiful Coldwater Canyon Park. NCSA has a wonderful program planned, including discussions with the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, TreePeople, and the Mar Vista Community Council Green Committee. The focus at this meeting will be sustainable water and landscaping strategies and related advocacy and community engagement opportunities for Neighborhood Councils.
The event will start at 2pm with gathering and refreshments, and the program will begin at 2:30pm. We invite you to arrive early to enjoy the beautiful grounds and refreshments.
TreePeople has generously offered to host a separate activity (Eco Tour, etc) for children of our attendees, from 2:30pm-4:30pm. The activity will be suitable for children ages 5 and up. If you are interested, please let us know how many kids you’re bringing.
Please bring a reusable water bottle(s) to the event. We encourage you to use sustainable forms of transport. Detailed directions to TreePeople can be found here: http://www.treepeople.org/directions.
