This is regarding to the 2015 Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count in Van Nuys.

Since the Van Nuys Homelessness and Mental Illness Summit took place a few short weeks ago in December 2014, there is a great need of 70 volunteers to participate in doing a homeless count in the Van Nuys area and they need to spread the word throughout the Van Nuys area in helping out the community.

The count is taking place on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 8:00 PM. Volunteers will gather at San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center Inc: Cornerstone, located at 14660 Oxnard Street, Van Nuys, CA 91411.

Angel Quintanilla, Housing Specialist /Navigation Team Member from LA County Department Mental, started the Van Nuys Community Homeless Count Team to help register volunteers. Those interested in joining can click on the following link: http://lahsa.nationbuilder.com/angelquintanilla. They will need to click on “Join My Team” to begin the registration process. When asked where to volunteer, those registering should choose the Van Nuys Deployment Site.

The County of Los Angeles Department of Mental Health appreciates any time you take in providing your most invaluable assistance.
