Cubed

The holidays are coming early this year as L.A.’s newest museum for hands-on learning and fun opens to the public on November 13, 2014. Discovery Cube Los Angeles features 71,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, science programs and entertainment! Located in the San Fernando Valley at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area, the Discovery Cube will feature an incredible array of exciting exhibits based around STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) proficiency, environmental stewardship, healthy living and early learners.

From taking a virtual Helicopter Adventure over California to learn about where our water originates to putting on an inspector badge and verifying that a house is sustainable during the Inspector Training Course, the fun and learning never stops. Guests can stand under a 20-foot wind tunnel or become a green superhero in the Race to Zero Waste! As exciting as all of these exhibits are, we are so much more than the campus at Hansen Dam and the walls that define the building. In fact, we have fully trained teachers and instructors that go out into the local schools and perform real science in the classroom for thousands of students every year!

All of this is the start of something truly wonderful and the entire Discovery Cube tea
m is excited to become an important educational resource center and integral part of the Los Angeles community for years to come. More information on Discovery Cube LA and its exhibits, educational programs, resources and community involvement can be found by visiting www.discoverycube.org/la.
