This Coming Saturday, November 22, the Historic Van Nuys Fire Station No. 39 is celebrating their 75th anniversary serving the Van Nuys Community and is inviting all residents to come and visit the station at 14415 Sylvan Street, Los Angeles, CA 91401. The event will start at 11:00 am till 2:00 pm.
There will be booths from different organizations and city officials, including the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council (VNNC). There will be information and items to be distributed to the public and the VNNC will give items to our stakeholders in the San Fernando Valley who come by our booth and subscribes to our email newsletters while supplies last. You will also meet our VNNC President George Christopher Thomas and executive board members along with councilwoman Nury Martinez of Council District 6 to greet everyone in attendance.
Representing Fire Station #39 is the new captain Sergio Franco, who also grew up in the Van Nuys. Make sure to introduce yourself to our fire captain and take a tour of the historic fire station
