Fine artist Jane Gang has generously donated three large acrylic paintings to Cheremoya Elementary School. Ms. Gang has been exhibiting and sharing her unique vision in many parts of the world for 30 years. Renowned for her “Essentialism” style, Ms. Gang is predominantly a figurative painter. A British born artist, she currently lives and works in Los Angeles where her son attends Cheremoya Elementary.
In this series, the children of Cheremoya Elementary are her subjects. Included in one of the paintings is her own 6 year old son, Boulevard. Ms Gang has also generously pledged to paint a 9”x12” watercolor for supporters who kindly donate $600 or more to the Cheremoya Foundation.
Cheremoya Elementary, Hollywood’s neighborhood school, is fast becoming one of the finest schools in the district. The Cheremoya Foundation is working directly with the school to help keep the momentum going. Through partnerships with local artists/parents within its community, such as Jane Gang, the Foundation hopes to enrich the students daily experience at the school. This year marks an historic milestone for Cheremoya as we begin its 100 year celebration.
