This year the 3-1-1 Call Center is planning to close for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. This represents a change in operation for the 3-1-1 Call Center, which had in the past been open 365 days a year. The Call center staff has communicated with departmental call center management and the Mayor’s Office in advance of this communication to ensure a smooth transition.

The closures will occur on the following days:
Thursday, November 27, 2014 – Thanksgiving Day
Thursday, December 25, 2014 – Christmas Day

During the holiday closures, callers will receive a greeting indicating the 3-1-1 Call Center is closed due to the holiday and will be offered the same urgent service transfer options they receive currently when 3-1-1 closes at 5:00pm daily. The greeting will also include an option to leave a voicemail message requesting services and information on how to access online or MyLA 3-1-1 mobile application self-service options.
