Mayor garcetti and Budget Advocates

On September 30, the Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates met with Mayor Garcetti to discuss their questions regarding the proposed 2014-2015 budget and hear the Mayor’s vision for how the Budget Advocates can better weigh in on the budget process. The voice of neighborhood councils from across the city can play a crucial role in guiding the city’s budget priorities and providing the Mayor and City Council with a diversity of opinions on budget issues and the needs of local communities.

The Budget Advocates seek to explore, research, study, seek input, prepare, and present the feelings and spirit of the communities of Los Angeles to the Mayor and City Council and provide a venue for neighborhood councils to speak up about their priorities.
