watts-towers

This Saturday and Sunday, celebrate the historic Watts Towers with the 33rd Annual Watts Towers Day of the Drum Festival and 38th Annual Simon Rodia Watts Towers Jazz Festival. These free festivals will take place both days from 10am – 6pm and will feature activities for children and informational material at community service booths. Food and Arts & Crafts will be available for purchase.

The Watts Towers Day of the Drum Festival celebrates the role of drums and drummers in world cultures, past and present. The Simon Rodia Watts Towers Jazz Festival pays tribute to the American music forms of jazz, gospel and rhythm and blues.

In addition to performances throughout the days, all-day events include guided tours of the Towers and art exhibits in the Noah Purifoy Gallery, Charles Mingus Gallery, and the Dr. Joseph and Bootsie Howard Gallery.

Join us in celebrating music, culture, and history! Admission to both festivals is free of charge, and free parking and valet parking will be available.
