    • a. The VNNC to submit a Community Impact Statement (CIS) in regards to the Child & Sex Trafficking Summit. The VNNC will come up with legislative language for the LA City Council and our State Representatives to address this very important issue. (Councilman Josef Lazavoritz)
    • b. The VNNC to fund additional chairs for the Council Chambers. (NTE $1500)
    • c. The VNNC to plan and execute funding and planning for our annual retreat. The VNNC retreat to be held on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014. (NTE $1500)
    • d. 6939 Van Nuys Blvd.: Zone Variance, Conditional Use Permit, Site Plan Review. Requesting for a conditional use permit and zone variance for the existing 10,000 sq ft adult day center and banquet hall into a full-banquet hall and restaurant with additional 4500 sq ft in a P2 zone (parking), currently in construction. Building Permits already approved. Case no.: ZA 2014-2361-ZV-CUP-ENV (Andy Bableyan/ Business owner)
    • e. 5628 N Sepulveda Blvd.: Zone Variance, Conditional Use Permit, Site Plan Review. Requesting for a conditional use permit to allow the expansion of the existing 4-story 56 ft. high hotel with a new construction of a 48,000 SF 78 room hotel within 500 ft of a residential zone and request for additional FAR & height. Case no.: ZA 2014-1435 (Aram Alajajian/Architect)
    • f. 14725 Sherman Way.: Zone Variance, Site Plan Review. Requesting a letter of support for a zone variance to install a 5’-6” high wrought iron fence and multiple pedestrian gates in front of existing (unoccupied) single family homes (lots 16-20, 41-45). A variance is necessary as fence is located. Case no.: ZA 2014-1975 (Ben Rocca/Richmond American Homes)
    • g. 6532 N. Sepulveda Blvd.: Site Plan Review. Demolition of existing 11-unit apartment building and a net increase of 57 units. Asking for feedback and possible a letter of support of the construction to more than 50 units. Case no.: DIR-2014-2092 (Boaz Miodovsky
    • h. Submit a Community Impact Statement (CIS) on street vending issue. Chairman Howard Benjamin to report findings and the VNNC to vote on language for CIS.
    • i. Resubmit the July 2012 VNNC By-Laws to the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE).
    • j. Funding for Congress of Neighborhood Council’s event on September 20th. (NTE $500) Also establish a delegation to attend on behalf of the VNNC,
    • k. Submit a Community Impact Statement (CIS) in regards to street vending as it relates to Bail bonds Industry.
    • l. Update from Council Office in regards to special event honoring Monica Benavidez.

      m. Address current posting requirements in regards to the Ralph M. Brown Act and possibly adopt new procedures. (Paul Anand)
