The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council Government Affairs & By-Laws Meeting will take place  July 15th, 2014 (Tuesday 6:00 – 6:30pm) — Los Angeles Police Department Community Room, 6240 Sylmar Ave. Van Nuys, CA 91401. Here are the agenda items for Tuesday meeting.

includes speaker cards on any and all agenda items — a limit of 10 minutes for the entire meeting per Stakeholders and Councilmembers alike)

  • a. Planning for VNNC Retreat event to be held in Van Nuys Council District at Civic Center Library
  • b. Planning for a trip for VNNC Council and stakeholders to Sacramento meeting with our representatives
  • c. Planning for a trip for VNNC Council and stakeholders to Washington, D.C. meeting with out representatives

6. New Business

  • a. Review of existing Bylaws on DONE website and review of approved bylaws from 2010 of VNNC for possible vote of re-affirmation of existing 2010 Bylaws to replace linked Bylaws with approved Bylaws on DONE website
  • b. Discussion of possible process and procedures for reimbursements for council members expenses
  • c. Recommendation for wording of a standing rule for process of censure to be brought to the full VNNC board to be voted on by the entire board
  • d. Address new procedure for posting and distribution of agendas for the VNNC General & Committee Meetings in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act.
