Memorandum Papa is in regards to the “First Annual Children’s Day & Movie Night” at the Government Center this coming August.

As the Council President, I am making an Executive Decision to put both Movie Night and the Children’s Day Celebration on the Executive Committee Agenda for next Monday’s Meeting.

I have been in contact with Field Deputy Nikki Ezhari from Councilman Paul Krekorian’s Office, and she needs us to move on this quite soon.

Here is what she emailed me, word for word,…”Hi George, we need to know which Universal movie you will be showing so that we can obtain authorization for it. If you go with a non-Universal movie, you have to pay royalties. Also, please note that the movie equipment will need a generator.”

Please let me know if you would like to be more involved in planning this spectacular event.  I hope we can finish the decision making process this coming Monday and at the General Meeting in July.  It will take all of us being involved to pull off the “First Annual Children’s Day & Movie Night” at the Government Center in Van Nuys.
