Join New Horizons on Metro’s Bike to Work Day

(Los Angeles, May 15) —New Horizons, one of Los Angeles’ largest nonprofit organizations providing an array of services to those with special needs, will be participating in the Citywide Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the corner of Sepulveda and the Orange Line Bus Stop in Van Nuys, California.

As part of Metro’s annual Bike Week LA taking place May 12–18, New Horizons will host a “pit stop” for participating cyclists, handing out water and giveaways, along with information on New Horizons and its new Green Light to Mobility Travel Training program. The program is designed to teach individuals living in the San Fernando Valley how to take the LA Metro, giving them an alternative means by which to get around the city. With fluctuating gasoline prices, biking and taking Metro, which has bike racks, are great solutions, both of which are good for the environment!
