Neighborhood Council Takes to the Streets at CicLAvia
During last Sunday’s CicLAvia Iconic Wilshire Boulevard event, the Mid-City West Neighborhood Council welcomed participants to their community with a guided Miracle Mile Art Walk around LACMA, the Architecture + Design Museum, the Craft and Folk Art Museum, Ace Gallery, The Icon, and the Petersen Automotive Museum, all conveniently clustered around the Wilshire/Fairfax CicLAvia hub.
The council provided a free bike valet, water bottles, and maps of the Art Walk so that patrons could also enjoy a self-guided tour of the galleries, which offered free admission on Sunday, at their leisure.
The Miracle Mile Art Walk is a great example of a creative way for neighborhood councils to participate in events like CicLAvia and encourage local residents to explore their community and get involved.
