The office of the 6th Council District Nury Martinez with the OK of LAUSD to do a citizenship workshop, with NALEO and our Councilwomen Nury at POLY HIGH School on April 26th.
POLY is a great place to do these-Parking is great and there is ample space in the gym for the people.
The last time we did this at POLY 189 people out of just slightly less than 400 who came, completed their Immigration paperwork to become citizens. (FREE). Those who were not able to complete the paperwork for various reasons were given advice as to what they had to do to complete the application. This included Legal Advise from on site Immigration Lawyers
We are trying to get out the word. It is Easter season and it is tough to get time to speak at Churches. BUT I am asking if you can put Flyers in the Library and Parks and Post them in all the Places you post your agenda’s. We have found that the Barber shops and Beauty Salons are great places and on weekends Friday night and Saturday/Sunday morning brunch at the restaurants are very busy and if there is a flyer near the cash register they get picked up.
I know you know the best places in your neighborhood and you realize the value of this service to our stakeholders. Please lets get this done- New Citizens- New Voters_ New Participants in the full democracy America offers
