Join FoLAR April 20, 8am along with hundreds of volunteers at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve for a morning of habitat restoration! At our Earth Day Habitat Restore & Renew event, you will:

Remove invasive plant species from the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve
Learn about the impact of invasive species on the environment with California Native Plant Society
Create and take home hand-made seedballs using native plant species
Enjoy a nature walk and bird watching along the Reserve with San Fernando Valley Audubon Society and FoLAR educators
Enjoy the Spring Concert Sunday
From ASM Jesse Gabriel: Join the LA Rams and Special Guests at Our Day of Service!

We’re partnering with dozens of community groups and nonprofits to work on service projects across the San Fernando Valley. Projects include cleaning our neighborhoods, packing outreach kits for our unhoused neighbors, supporting domestic violence survivors, donating blood, and so much more. These projects are filling up fast, so be sure to sign up ASAP!

We are also working with Hope the Mission to prepare the World’s Largest Lasagna to help feed Angelenos in need!

All volunteers should meet at Pierce College at 9:30 a.m. for breakfast, directions, and some positive energy! Advance registration is required.

The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) would like to invite you to their 26th Annual Annabelle Godwin Family Play Day on Saturday, April 13th at Woodley Park in Van Nuys.

This free community event is open to everyone! Children and families can enjoy fun games, an obstacle course area, a reptile exhibit, an infant area, community resources, and much more!

Each child in attendance will receive a free book and families will receive one free bag of fruits and vegetables – while supplies last.
