DESCRIPTION:The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council (VNNC) is pleased that CD 6 Councilmember Imelda Padilla will share her perspective about key issues for the City and Van Nuys and present certificates of appreciation to current and former VNNC Boardmembers. \nOther topics the VNNC will discuss include: \n\nA letter to be sent to the Metro ESFV Light Rail project team\, Councilmember Padilla\, and Mayor Karen Bass advocating that California native trees be planted on Van Nuys Blvd.\nA letter to be sent to the Fire Chief and City Council advocating for preservation of funding and staffing to continue to provide training for community volunteers under the Community  Emergency Response Team (CERT) program.\nEncourage Boardmembers and the public to participate in the Van Nuys Homeless Count on January 21st.\n\nJoin us for our next meeting Wednesday\, January 8\, 7pm at the Marvin Braude Building Conference Room\, 6262 Van Nuys Blvd.
